5.5. Abaqus input files
This section contains all the Abaqus input files which are used for the verification tests of the various postprocessing functions of Abaqus2Matlab.
These Abaqus input files can be run by opening Abaqus/Command and typing abaqus job=X where X is the name of the Abaqus input file without its extension (*.inp).
Typically, X is a number equal to the record key of the output variable which is tested with the results of the analysis of the input file, or it can be the string MAT. For example, the input file X.inp is run in Abaqus to produce the files X.odb and X.fil, from which Abaqus2Matlab extracts the result with record key equal to X. The number X can be found from either the node-type field output variable identifier, the element-type field output variable identifier, the history output variable identifier
or the type of the result which is requested from a results file, using the tables which are presented in the Abaqus2Matlab Analysis User's Guide.
The input file MAT.inp specifies matrix generation procedures of an Abaqus model, in order to test the capability of Abaqus2Matlab for the extraction of the various matrices (stiffness, mass, damping).
The Abaqus input files are placed in the verify\Input directory of the Abaqus2Matlab application, from where they are copied to the working directory and renamed for the needs of the verification process.
The input files used by the various verification tests are the following:
