5.4.2. Extracting matrices from Abaqus models

In this section the capability of Abaqus2Matlab to extract the stiffness, mass, viscous damping and structural damping matrices of any Abaqus model from a mtx file is demonstrated.

Initially the Abaqus2Matlab application folder is installed, and then the verification tests are executed. The input file, which is stored in a separate folder, is copied in the current directory and run in Abaqus by issuing a suitable command to the operating system through Matlab. After the input file is run in Abaqus it produces various mtx files and then the matrices contained in these files are extracted and loaded in Matlab memory. The printout is also shown below the code on this page.
